Professional Coaching
Martine is the Certified Professional Coach with Pito Mata Consulting. She will facilitate conversations to help you dream and define the growth, development, or transformation you are seeking. Then will help you bring that to life. She uses a range of approaches, grounded in strengths-based practice and positive psychology, adapted to suit what you want to pay attention to.


Out to Lead is our flagship leadership development programme for aspiring or emerging Rainbow-identifying leaders. ​We work with you to open up your leadership potential, equip yourself to be an authentic leader and lead with pride. Out to Lead provides a safe and inclusive learning environment. The programme includes group guided conversations and one to one professional coaching focusing on career aspirations to support out, proud leadership.
Inclusive Leadership Development
Inclusive leaders are good for business. More importantly, they’re good for people. We offer a semi-structured individual coaching programme to help new and experienced leaders grow their inclusive leadership practice. Our approach is informed by a wide range of research, models and frameworks including those developed by Korn Ferry and Deloitte Consulting.


DEI Planning and Development
We’re respected for our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategic work that is geared towards systems-level change and capability building. ​We’ve led the development and implementation of strategic DEI initiatives across the NZ Public Service within agencies, and across the wider system. In roles with agencies, our work has been commended by the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the 15 March 2019 Christchurch Masjidain terrorist attack, and has resulted in recognition at national awards such as the Diversity Awards NZ and the Rainbow Excellence Awards. ​Our consulting services support the ongoing development and implementation of organisational DEI aspirations. We can work with your organisation to develop your DEI strategy and help you evolve your internal policies, processes and practices to be more inclusive. ​We offer ad hoc, project, and retainer-based consulting. Workplace Rainbow Inclusion
Pito Mata is Rainbow-owned and operated and a proud Pride Pledge Gold member organisation. We are committed to supporting Rainbow communities and championing Rainbow-inclusive workplaces. Our services support organisations to provide a Rainbow-inclusive experience for their people. ​​ We partner with organisations who are looking to embed rainbow inclusion into their systems and culture. We are skilled at bridging the gap between subject-matter knowledge and organisational behaviour and strategies. We can work with you to support your organisation to grow beyond acknowledging or celebrating Pride events, to being a genuinely 'look under the umbrella' rainbow-inclusive leader or organisation.
